During the holiday season, it’s not only the city lights that switch into festive mode: the local design scene also shows its most exciting face at this time of year. We selected five Christmas markets where, instead of mass-produced gifts, you’ll find the personal worlds of creators, studios and creative communities — each bringing a different rhythm and atmosphere into the December rush.
GAZDA Pop-Up Store & Cultural Space
When & where: 18 November – 22 December 2025, DEFO Concept Space (Budapest, Bartók Béla út 20.)

The GAZDA Pop-Up is essentially a contemporary design and cultural creative space: Hungarian and Ukrainian design brands, applied artists and studios showcase creative objects, furniture, home accessories and design gifts curated by Whitewood Studio.
What you’ll find: Unique furniture pieces, limited-edition home décor items, design accessories — the perfect place if you’re looking for something characterful, unconventional yet functional for Christmas. The atmosphere is creative and alternative — ideal for those who want something special and design-focused instead of mainstream store-bought gifts.
Youngart Christmas Pop-Up Fair
When & where: 27 November – 19 December 2025, two locations: Latarka Gallery (Budapest, Andrássy út 32.) and a new gallery space (Attila út 97.)

The Youngart fair is always special — defined by an artistic mindset, a strong sense of design and creative presentation. The galleries’ atmosphere is intimate, and instead of traditional gallery benches, the works of artists, designers and creators dominate the space: graphics, prints, home accessories, artistic gifts.
What you’ll find: Unique graphics, prints, design-sensitive home décor items, accessories, smaller gift objects and ornaments — perfect for those who want to give artistic, unique, non-mass-produced presents. The gallery environment adds an especially beautiful touch to the festive mood.
360 Design Budapest – Gift Terminal
When & where: The fair has been running since 24 November at the Allee Shopping Centre, and products from 360 Design Budapest exhibitors await visitors in a 200 m² space from 29 November.

This is one of the largest design fairs in Hungary, where, under the organisation of Hybridart Management, established and emerging designers, applied artists and design studios present their work. Ceramics, blown-glass objects, furniture prototypes, home accessories — essentially the full spectrum of unique, small-batch Hungarian design is represented.
What you’ll find: Unique vases, tables, designer furniture pieces, limited-edition home accessories, handcrafted ceramics, glass objects, and even special — sometimes prototype-stage — furniture from names such as Ida Stone or David Salamon Art&Design, as well as Faék Műhely, Zita Majoros, Sarakele Studio. If you’re looking for something truly special, stylish and Hungarian-designed — whether practical or decorative — this is the place to browse.
Time Out Market Budapest – Lepopup Christmas Market
When & where: 13 December 2025, 12:00–22:00, Time Out Market Budapest beneath Corvin Palace (Blaha Lujza tér 1., 1085).
The Lepopup Christmas Market is a hybrid of Time Out Market’s culinary-cultural vibe and a design pop-up — where gastronomy meets creative Hungarian brands, design gifts and a distinctive atmosphere. The communal space feels relaxed, youthful and friendly — perfect for celebrating a stylish pre-Christmas meet-up.
What you’ll find: Among the participating brands you’ll find, among others: BOBA Stúdió, BOQCHe, Borneo, CRÈEM, D’Alma Jewelry, Dreaming Threads, Hiraeth, Kafi Folk, Keshi Pearls and many more — jewellery, handmade accessories, design gifts, textiles, candles and lifestyle items. There will also be DJ sets: DJ Eszter Tücsök during the day and a surprise DJ in the evening.
The Grand W Christmas Market
When & where: 6 December 2025, 12:00–19:00, in the W Lounge & Courtyard halls of the luxury W Budapest hotel

The Grand W Christmas Market is ideal for those who want to avoid the overwhelming Christmas crowds and prefer conscious, stylish gifting — less of the usual mall atmosphere, more design sense, quality and individual taste.
What you’ll find: Clothing, design and lifestyle accessories, jewellery, ceramics, handcrafted objects and small gifts from a finely curated selection of brands — including Nagira, Keshi, Lenzi Studio, Alma Vetlényi and many other independent designers, studios and “small batch / slow design” communities.
