Knitwear that hides its wearer from facial recognition

Facial recognition programs are useful in many areas of life, but many people fear for their privacy as these programs proliferate. Italian company Cap_able has found a rather stylish solution to this problem, launching a line of clothing that protects the wearer’s biometric data without the need to cover the face.

Named Manifesto Collection, the clothing features different patterns developed by artificial intelligence algorithms, so that facial recognition software identify the wearer as different animals. Thanks to the pieces in the collection, the software is either unable to recognize the people wearing the items, or the patterns make them ‘look’ like dogs, zebras, or giraffes.
